Photography is more than just taking pictures; it's an art form that requires keen observation and a unique perspective. As Elliott Erwitt said, "Photography is an art of observation. It has very little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." This sentiment deeply resonates with me as a photographer, as my approach is centered around observation, sensitivity, and empathy.
When it comes to photographing weddings, every celebration is unique, but certain elements remain the same. I approach each segment of the wedding day with an eye for detail and a focus on capturing the moments that truly matter. From the intimate getting ready shots to the emotional ceremony, and finally the lively reception, I strive to tell a cohesive visual story that reflects the couple's love and personalities.
Through my lens, I see the beauty and significance in every fleeting moment, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant it seems, I have honed my ability to weave them into a beautiful visual narrative.

A day like no other
/
Like any other good story, the one of your wedding day has the same exciting elements and so your gallery will start with an introduction of where and when.
There will be images that set the scene like where did you chose to get married, what time of the year it was, was it pouring rain or it was bright sunshine? Did you have an epic sunset? Did you pick locations that mean something to you like the house you grew up in or the location of your first date? I love these details so throughout the day, I will pay attention and try to give context to every important moment.
I LOVE details. Whether it's your choice of accessories, the vintage plates that you spent months collecting, the carefully crafted bouquet and the talented artist behind it, the thoughtful gifts for your loved ones, or the unique blend of colors and textures you have picked out - each detail tells a different story. That's why I am committed to photographing them with intention. I want to ensure that the hard work of all the creatives you carefully selected for your celebration is showcased in its full glory.
First Look
Out of all the chapters in your special day, this one is undoubtedly one of my favorites, perhaps because of the range of emotions it encompasses. This collection of fleeting moments features a blend of chaos, reflection, excitement, serenity, and more. During this time, my approach is to blend in, read the room, chat with your loved ones, and document the organic moments instead of directing them. I will capture your friends' excitement for you, the emotional embraces from your parents, and all the in-between moments. Trust me; you'll want this part of your day to be photographed!
Whether or not you want a first look and more time with your friends at the cocktail hour after the ceremony is entirely up to you. However, as someone who has seen a fair share of weddings, I can confidently say that opting for a first look won't take away from the beautiful moment of walking down the aisle, which you've been imagining in your head since the age of six. Plus, it's a great opportunity to get those formal portraits with your family and friends before you all start hitting the open bar.
I, personally, love a good first look. Not only does it give me another chance to capture some breathtaking portraits of the two of you, but it also gives you a moment of tranquility before the madness ensues. You can even exchange gifts, letters, or personal vows during this time. Don't worry; I'll keep my distance most of the time and shoot from afar to give you both a sense of privacy. But, hey, if you want me to join in and sing "Kumbaya" with you, I'm down for that too. Ultimately, it's your day, and you get to decide whether or not you want to include this little moment.
Friends and family portraits
Ah, the formal portrait session. Let's be real, folks, it's not usually the highlight of the day for most couples. But fear not, I'm here to make it as painless as possible. All I need is 15-20 minutes of your time, and we can knock out the shot list pretty quickly - 5-7 family groups, 1-2 shots with your entire wedding party (if you have one), and of course, some fun in-between moments that are my personal favorites. Trust me; we'll have a blast with this part. After all, these are your favorite people in the whole entire world, so let's celebrate them!

The moment of truth has arrived - the part of the day that's probably the most emotional and nerve-wracking for you both. From the beautiful rituals and traditions that officially unite you to the range of emotions that you and your loved ones will undoubtedly experience - I'll be there to document every single detail. Whether it's the tears in your father's eyes or the infectious giggles from your best friends, I'll capture all the moments that make your special day one for the books.
Alright, it's time to let your hair down and have some fun! This is the perfect opportunity for you to catch up with your friends and loved ones without a care in the world, while I take candid shots of your guests enjoying the moment. Whether it's the hugs, the drinks, the little ones running around, or grandma wishing you all the best, I'll be there to capture it all. And let's not forget about your best man, who's probably getting some shots of his own, or your vendors, who are working hard setting up the food and ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

In an ideal world I'd like to steal you for 2-3 times a day for about 5-10 minutes to have more diversity, but I know you want to cherish every single moment of your day with your nearest and dearest. So, I'll only ask for one tiny little moment - the magical sunset hour.
During this time, I encourage you both to take a breather from the noise, and really soak in the moment together. No need to "strike a pose" for me; instead, I want you to think back on all the moments that led you to this beautiful day, and let all those warm and fuzzy feelings bubble to the surface.
Now, I get it, getting all smoochy in front of the camera can be a little nerve-wracking. But fear not, my camera-shy friends, I'll give you plenty of space to be intimate and cozy, and I promise to make you both feel right at home. While we'll have a couple of formal shots, the majority of the photos will capture your unique bond - the belly laughs, the bear hugs, and all the magic moments in between.

As your celebration story unfolds, each wedding is a unique tale with its own special twists and turns. But most weddings have some of the same classic elements - think parent dances, tear-jerking speeches, delicious food, toe-tapping music, and, of course, the first wave of tipsy guests and tequila shots.
Now, folks, when it comes to this part of the evening, I'm all about the hands-off approach. I'll be like a fly on the wall, just taking it all in as the night unfolds. Whether it's the hilarious roasts or the heartwarming speeches, I'll be there to capture every single moment without interfering. So, you just sit back, relax, and let the good times roll!
Alrighty, my lovely party people! You've made it to the main event - the dance floor! And let me tell you, I am so pumped to be right there with you, snapping the most epic shots. You'll see me cheering you on, getting down with your guests, and basically living my best life. I mean, who says work can't be fun?
I'm all about capturing those wild and crazy moments - the dips, the spins, the air guitar solos, you name it. And let's be real, the best shots always come from those times when I'm right in the thick of things, dancing my heart out.
Now, typically, an hour is enough to capture all the magic of the dance floor. But hey, if you want me to stick around until the very end, I am totally down. Especially if you're planning a last dance under the stars or a cozy fire pit session - those are the moments that make for the most epic shots.
